Recently Restored Classic Mercedes by Marque One Detailing
This recently restored Mercedes 280SL Pagoda, bit of an epic journey this one. One of the coolest cars built and formerly owned by the holly wood actor Mr Richard Burton and was given to his ‘mistress’s ‘. One of the biggest jobs we’ve undertaken.
Full wash and decontamination 2000 grit sand to 8000 3- 4 stage polish due to single stage soft paint. Primer and Modesta UK BC05 coatings.
All external chrome removed deep cleaned and polished Engine bay dry ice cleaned Door cards and seats removed, rebuilt by the guys at Prototrim in record time.
New lights and inners, new rubber door sills all deep cleaned and glued properly. Soft top deep cleaned and x3 coats of blue applied. This was then sealed.
Every chrome polished and coated, rubbers deep cleaned and dressed. Wheels removed deep cleaned coated and hun caps ( these will return for paint) Full deep interior clean and seal including fabrics, vinyl and chromes.
A 2 page list of all the work undertaken to bring ‘Elsa’ back to her best. She’ll be back on the transport tomorrow. Big thanks to Pennings for the guys stripping and fitting and Prototrim for their amazing work and record time in doing so.
More of a mini restoration this one.
